Welcome back to the Etruria Farm Timelapse. We begin the day by handling finished products and logistics. Pallets loaded with compost are transported to the point of sale, generating immediate income. After that, the trucks head to the silage trench. The current task is to completely empty the silo, preparing the trench for the next ensiling cycle. The silage is transported to the receiving hopper of the feed mixer, keeping livestock feed production running without interruptions.
With the trench cleared, we shift focus to transport efficiency. The trucks are taken to the dealer center for a major upgrade. Our goal is to increase hauling capacity and reduce the number of trips. After the upgrade, each truck trailer now holds more than 80,000 liters, significantly improving transportation efficiency across the farm.
Next, we prepare for corn silage harvesting. A new header for the forage harvester is purchased, and the trucks are moved to the first corn field. The forage harvester arrives shortly after, supported by two tractors. One tractor is sent to the silage trench, where leveling and compacting equipment is attached to ensure proper silo management. The second tractor is equipped with a reloading trailer and connected directly to the forage harvester.
With everything in position, corn harvesting begins. The forage harvester mows and chops the corn, distributing the chaff into the high-capacity truck trailers. The loaded trucks immediately deliver the material to the silage trench, where it is leveled and compacted in real time.
This marks the start of corn silage production, establishing a continuous and efficient flow from field to trench and strengthening the farm’s feed supply and overall economy on the Etruria map.
