Nine years after the previous title ended on quite the cliffhanger, Styx: Blades of Greed picks up right where its predecessor left off and quickly snowballs into an adventure that stands on its own merits. It’s the quintessential Styx experience, replete with humor and sarcastic banter between its cast while the gameplay makes stealth a challenging part of the experience.
Yes, there are issues, but do they make the game unplayable? Hardly. Working around the game’s quirks is part of the fun, and you’re going to be finding new ways to keep your opponents on their toes with whatever you have on hand as you play through a story that’s quite interesting to behold.
