Welcome back to the Hof Bergmann Farm Timelapse. Work begins with post-harvest field management. A hired worker is assigned to mulch the stubble left after the grain harvest, improving soil condition and preparing the land for the next crop cycle. While mulching continues in the background, attention shifts to upgrading the corn harvesting setup.
The old corn header is sold at the agricultural machinery dealer, and a new, more efficient corn harvester is purchased. With the upgraded equipment ready, the combine is prepared for action and moved to a large corn field. After final adjustments, threshing begins. The size of the field demands time and coordination, and harvesting takes well over an hour, with logistics carefully managed throughout.
As the combine works through the corn, the mulching operation continues in parallel. Once the first field is finished, the hired worker is redirected to the next one, ensuring no downtime. The harvested corn is transported to the storage facility for now, with future processing already planned to increase its value within the farm’s production chain.
After completing the corn harvest, all machinery is returned to the yard. The mulching cycle continues, and the worker is reassigned to the freshly harvested corn field to process the remaining residues, maintaining clean and productive soil conditions.
Field consolidation is the next objective. Two neighboring plots are targeted for merging into a single, larger field to improve efficiency and allow the use of wider equipment. A tree standing between the fields must be removed. Logging equipment is brought in, the tree is cut down, branches are trimmed, and the timber is loaded onto a trailer and transported to the sawmill, creating additional income from wood sales.
Finally, a tractor equipped with a plow is used to remove the boundary between the two fields. The dividing strip is plowed under, transforming the separate plots into one large, unified field. This expansion improves workflow, reduces turning time during future operations, and strengthens overall productivity in Farming Simulator 25.
