Welcome back to the Kinlaig Farm Estate Timelapse. Following the previous episode, we already have a solid onion harvest packaged into bags and stacked on pallets. However, the long-term plan goes further than raw sales. The goal is to move into processed food production, specifically canned onion products. To make this possible, we focus first on building capital.
We start by selling the bagged onions to generate quick cash flow. At the same time, we expand logistics income by visiting the stonemason’s workshop, loading finished construction products, and delivering them to the point of sale. These parallel sales allow us to reach the investment threshold faster.
Once sufficient funds are available, we purchase a food production plant and begin the next production chain. Onions are delivered directly from our warehouse to the factory, where onion soup production starts. Compost sales continue in the background, providing a steady additional income stream and stabilizing cash flow.
With production running, we reinvest again by purchasing a new field. Since the vegetable processing line is now active, we deliberately choose a field with ripe red beets ready for harvest. The combine harvester previously used for onions is reconfigured, allowing it to handle red beet harvesting efficiently.
A combine harvester and a tractor with a trailer loader are brought to the field, and harvesting begins. During transport to the factory, a weakness in our logistics becomes clear: the electric truck lacks the power needed for long, loaded trips. To solve this, we sell it and replace it with a combustion-engine truck better suited for heavy transport. With this upgrade in place, long-distance hauling becomes faster and more reliable, and the red beet harvest continues without interruptions.
